Join us in participating in the CHIditarod Food Drive to collect food to feed the Chicago families in need. Team Cartastrophe not only rocked the film festival, brought their energy to GCFD fully costumed. They also donated 2,300 lbs of food,
Overall in 2021 we raised $120,000+ for community grants, Packed up 23,553 meals for the hungry, and 5,000+ Pounds of Food Donated! With 30,245 pounds of food collected at the event last year and $70,854 raised to fight hunger!

"For those of you who don't know, we're a group raising money for food security across Chicago. That means micro-grants for food pantries, urban farms, food kitchens, shelters and educational facilities. Through the pandemic this group has been going full steam helping keep the fragile non-profit network going so this year is extra important in our fundraising. We won't be having the shopping cart race this year, but have entered the video contest to raise awareness and create some comic relief! The video will be ready in March so in the meantime, we are so thrilled to be picking up food donations and accepting monetary donations via our link."
